What are double stringer stairs?
Double stringer stairs use two parallel steel supports beneath the treads (often called double spine or twin-stringer). The paired stringers share the load, so you can run wider flights, heavier treads and longer spans while keeping the look clean and open. Each tread is fixed to the stringers with engineered brackets, and the system pairs well with glass or wire balustrades and timber or stainless-steel handrails

Design your stairs
Accurate measurements make all the difference. You can take them yourself with our simple guide, or let our drafting team handle it for you. Either way, we’ll make sure everything fits perfectly.
Review & Approve
Once we’ve got the measurements, we’ll prepare detailed drawings for you to review. Nothing goes into production until you’re happy with every detail.
Build and install
Your staircase is made in our Maddington workshop, using high-quality materials and proven techniques. When it’s ready, our installers handle the fit-out in Perth or Darwin, or we’ll send your DIY kit anywhere in Australia, ready to assemble with everything you need.
